Car Logbook

Record every work trip over at least 12 continuous weeks that are typical of your travel. A valid logbook can generally be used for up to five years, but you'll need a new one if your circumstances change. You'll also need odometer readings at the start and end of the logbook period and of each income year, and receipts for your car expenses.

Working From Home Hours Log

Record the actual hours you work from home each day, plus any equipment you buy for work. This is the record of hours the ATO requires for the fixed rate method. You'll also need to keep at least one record (such as a bill) for each running expense, and receipts for equipment plus a record of how much you use it for work.
